This beautiful listed house had plenty of life left in it, but the key was maximising outdoor play and learning space.

The new rear extension provides additional roof terrace spaces as well as classrooms.  The scale of the outdoor areas was tailored to the children's age group and the bridge link to the main school campus, makes managing a visit simple for the staff and fun for the children.

The project formed the first phase of a masterplan for the Cathedral School and the infants and nursery building is now complemented by a dedicated hall.
