Topping Out at Channing School

Bring out the Ceremonial Hammer.

Last week saw us reach an important milestone on our science and DT project for Channing School . The topping out was marked by a ceremony in which Curo Construction presented head teacher Lindsey Hughes with a ceremonial hammer, presumably not because they are short of site labour.

It was wonderful to see some of the pupils who will enjoy the new facilities being given a tour. The new extension will provide dedicated science laboratories along with a new design technology department whilst retaining and upgrading the existing building.

With the roof now on, the project is accelerating towards completion.
